Thank you!!!
Yes, i use matched NPN's instead NPN array. In A-B listening test (mic->splitter->two channels->ADC) i dont hear big or small difference with MAT02 and SSM2210 (both discontinued).
Add protective diodes and forget about it. More changes you can hear with LME49860 or AD823.
Hand soldered :)

A-B test with RED1 (snare)

Great concept!!
If I may ask, which NPN's did you use for you array's?

Many thanks

Oh man these look amazing...

Is smd stuff hard to solder? I've never tried. Watching some tutorials on it right now...

How many of these fit in a 1u? what's it cost per channel roughly to complete?

Thanks!

I just did some SMD work for the first time recently. As long as you aren't using the super tiny parts that require anything more than a little magnification...it's cake. There are a few things that seem counter intuitive as compared to through hole soldering. Like the idea of intentionally creating a solder bridge to solder in ICs then cleaning up the bridges with solderwick. I did 8-pin DIP ICs just dragging a heavily tinned iron tip across the pins. Amazing!
