Hi everybody,

i thought that would be a quick build for a friend of mine, 11 components.
BUT... it's killing me :-[
I build it 2 times, same result - it's not really boosting. If i crank up Gain&Volume is give the same as in bypass...

I found out that when i put a link in as shown (red), it seems to work fine... tone, gain, volume...
What the heck do i miss here!?!?
I guess i don't see the wood for the trees....

A hint would be soooo great!!

Thanks & ROCK-ON!

Transistor pin-outs (they are not all the same).

Transistor pin voltages (electricity is invisible so you are guessing in the dark).

Hi PRR,

thanks for the hint.

I checked it again.

I use 2N5457 TO92, pin-out is D/S/G. I checked this although. (I although tested different components of course)
To be sure i added the pin-out in schematic (first post).

... still fighting...

check that the 3.3uF cap is connected where it is supposed to be. If not in place, the source of the top JFET will be a low impedance and kill the signal.

Thanks John for the hint.

I'll check that again.
I'm sure i did before, but you never know...
I have the 0.22uF under suspect... has far as with the FETs everything is right.

ROCK-ON!
