Hi, please help!
I've bought a Studer 269 console last week and the technical department of the shop told me they replaced the signal transformers.
Does this change, affect the sound of the console "Studer sound" in a way?
The console is not recapped I intend to do that in short time but and to my ears it sound good anyway at this stage.

It's good that they replaced the transformers as these tend to loose the magnetisation proprieties over time due to the constant neutrino flux that we are under - so the sound will surely be restored.... If you feel your console has a slight tendency to sound harsh you can lightly tap it in the upper left corner to restore the proper magnetic grain orientation.

sorry, warm weather bust my brain apparently. just listen to the desk and trust your ears.

Thx.

Now I have noticed that on the low frequencies the sound tend to be noisy.
I think I should hasten recapping the console.  :(

My 269 had a lot of bad caps in it. I would say is a must do to revive your studer
