Ladies and Gents,

I'm finishing off a mic front-end layout, and I need 1 electrolytic 47uF capacitor and one non-electrolytic 270pF capacitor.

I'll put my hand up now and confess that I don't know my way with capactitors and audio.

I'll also add that I'm trying to get everything I need from the mouser catalog.

Can those of you with more experience in these matter suggest some part numbers?

So far, I think:
UVR1J470MED

looks good at the electrolytic.

But I'm lost for the other.

thanks again

/R

For the 270pF cap polypropylene film or NP0 ceramic would usually work well.

Best regards,

Mikkel C. Simonsen

I would suggest Nichicon HE for polar 'lytics: 647-UHE2A470MPD

or bipolar: 647-UVP1H470MPD

270pf polystyrene: 23PS127 but it's on backorder.

I wouldn't use polyester if it's in the audio path, if you can help it.

Guys,

thank you for your feedback. I did some of the layout over lunch (i know... I'm a geek). I did the schematic with:

UVR1J470MED

as it's in a 2.5mill pitch, 6mm package.

Do you see any major issue with this?

As for the 270pF - I chose a generic "Wima" type package with a 5mm pitch. Wima have a 220pF that should do the trick:
505-FKP2220/100/2.5

I finally have a 150pF - I've chosen the same package:
505-FKP2150/100/2.5

I found this interesting re: audio components .....
