I'm embarking on a DIY bass management unit for 5.1. My question is in regards to proper gain structure--specifically around the summing--in reference to the diagram at the bottom of this page.
Is there typically any attenuation done prior to the summers or is it a straight sum?
Since there are two summers, is it kosher to have the signal inverted through the lowpass to get straightened back around at the LFE summer?
Another question regarding that diagram: aren't the 5 high-pass filters typically 24dB Linkwitz-Rileys?
Thanks
