Summit Audio MPC 100A

My MPC 100A have a problem intermittent problem on compression stage.
Sometimes the meter go down in compression mode and some random pop noise come out.
I've contacted Summit Audio and the told me that the problem is the E-Cell.
The problem is the total cost for new one, plus shipment and import tax, I'm in Italy.
Someone know if the E-cell is something like a Tb4 cell?
Could be reparable?

The don't share the schematics, could someone help me?

An intermittent problem may be something simple (cheap to fix) like a bad solder connection. Take it apart and kick the tires (wiggle the wires).

I don't have that one, but in the past I was able to get schematics from Summit after signing an NDA. That was when I was running a repair shop and could "prove" that I was a tech fixing a piece of their equipment. I'm not sure they would do the same for the man on the street.
