$99  each is not expensive IMHO.
Got a stereo pair last year, Good service.
Tried the DIY route , worked, but alas .......don't want to spend the rest of my life tweaking them !
Kens saved me years !

Anyone  know of t4b alternatives as the price for one these days is through the roof.

There was someone around here selling their own version of the T4B,
there was a thread with waveform comparisons of different T4B and that one.

I dont remember the name of the user though

They are in our very own WM:

If you need a matched pair there may be no other practical way than buying built units (if anyone actually still sells them)
For singles you can buy the parts for around $25 and it is maybe an hour build.
Most of the stuff is available here:

I usually find relay cases for around $5 at the local surplus store, buy a few NSL5910 and make a simple matching rig, close enough for a single unit... I have built many this way and they all work great

This French company sells them:

Hello Rudd,
that website belongs to a guy that stole a lot of work from fellow members here and advertised as it's own work.
He copied ideas, circuits, pcb layouts, never asked permission, never credited anyone.

Theres some threads around here on the subject,
Please don't support this website and it's owners

Kenetek it is... yes 99.00 is not expensive, but have you seen the price of the old stock stuff? That is what I was referring to by expensive.  ;)
Yes the old stock  NOS thats probably well out of spec now due to age.
$99 for one in spec and new, or NOS ..may work or not for stupid money,
I favor my choice.
