retro info- vintage 1960's LA2a T4 assemblies will most likely contain the Clairex cells,

Silonex cells are supposed to sound exactly the same

probably pretty hard to dig up any Clairex cells so this is just for kicks>

do not know if UA still sells T4b parts, big money as they have to get someone to do some testing, set up the LDR light machine, calibrate it, etc, had to bend over in order to get a some "pedigree" cells, which were used to match up cells bought in bulk from Silonex,  they ship a matched pair for $149, not $149 each >

I really miss the days, as a JBL service guy, that I could hop on their pro service site (or even give Dave a call) and order these for $60.  I wish I would have bought a box back then!
 
there was quite a feeding frenzy here when word got out that JBL was getting out of the T4 game,
