For my second kit I was thinking about going for a tape simulator or tube line amp to get some analogue colour on my mixbuss. Anyone got any thoughts about which will make more of a difference and/or which will be easier to build?
I've seen the Sound Skulptor tape kits, what are they like compared to the roger mayer and the neve portico tape sims?
Also are there any good tube line amp kits out there?
