Hi all it's been a long time since my last visit as I moved to France, I had no net access for a long time and all my DIY efforts have been put into our house. I have just acquired a Tektronix T912 which seemed excellent however on the second power up it went dead and that smell of burning filled the air. I took the case apart and the only damage that was visible was a burnt out resistor, now I believe it's R478 next to C478 and has a diode VR476 in series with it, also it blew the fuse where the large electrolytic caps are on the bottom, I'm sure that something else must have caused this but without a schematic and the component values I wouldn't know where to start looking, the value of the blown resistor would be a good start. Any help would be most welcome, thank you.

Thanks Milan
I looked at that one (thinking it was my model..Duh) there are similarities but the values where I'm looking are different and the circuit before the resistor in question is definitely not the same.
