I've followed this off-and-on simply out of my own love for Brimar. I bought some of their new "old stock" tubes back before they shut the shop in 2018. Telefunken and Amperex always seemed to have the most cache of European manufacturers, but Brimars in an old Fender make my heart warm.

Reminds me of a pair of single ended 2A3 monoblocks with 12AT7 drivers that I used to own. NOTHING else had the magic fairy dust effect of a Brimar CV4024 in the driver's seat. RCA, early Mullard and very early Sylvania production wouldn't touch them. That particular pair of Brimars was absolutely magical in those amps.
