I agree. I was just expressing the fact that the paradigm changes.
Now the sound recordists of the early 20th century, whose art was to install the performers in a way that provided a good balance, and move the horn as to shift focus on the soloist may have considered that cutting and splicing tape is a clerical job far away from audio...
