Threaded rivits

Does anyone have an easy way to fix threaded rivets?
I assume I need a rivet tool and such but I wondering if there is another way?

Not sure what you're trying to do?
You mean like chase new threads with a tap?

The rivet broke off.
Left with just a hole.

I like Brian's idea...
I have used those rivet nuts and have a stash and the tool but they never leave a great feeling for me at least. I'd probably feel ok using them on a piece of studio equipment. Kinda take some getting used to though imo...

Thanks for the suggestions.
The rivet mounts the side of a chassis to a bottom chassis plate using counter sunk screws.
Famous last words here but I flipped it around so that the broken rivit is in the bottom. I still am able to use the rivet as designed although it will fall off when the screw is removed. Thankfully the bottom chassis panel never needs to come off

That works until you need to put a lid on. I have tried in the past but with super glue but it didn’t work well. Could never find an adhesive strong enough,
