Tips for a Diy preamp to match with U87 mic

Hi everybody,
looking around for a DIY preamp
that can be as suitable as possible for the U87 mic
( perhaps the most linear / flat and transparent one ? )
any tip about is welcome,

Plenty of diy projects around suite a U87. Any of the api312 variants would be good and fairly easy to build.

I used to like its DI input a lot too especially for Electric pianos like RHodes & Wurlitzer & also synths, particularly digital ones.

Same here, I even made a single channel PtP version with DI input only. It really shines on Bass.

I built one for a friend who is a very successful songwriter. He was plugging his ES335 straight into the G9 DI & recording without an amp to protools.
