RIP.  I hadn't realized he'd been forced into retirement.....or that he lived about 20 minutes from me!?!

Was out in western NC for the last couple of weeks, and had to put Tony on heavy rotation after I heard the news. Perfect soundtrack for the Blueridge Pkwy. Spent countless hours woodshedding his crosspicking style over the years, and it still blows me away. RIP.

Wonder what’ll become of Clarence White’s D-28 now. Hope it doesn’t end up in a closet.
