I'm building a JLM Dual 1290, but using Ed Anderson's EA-10468's on the input. Anyone have any clever ideas on how to mount the 10468's to the chassis? I'm sure this a somewhat common issue people have run into. I have a few options as far as I can tell:

-I could go the angle iron route, or use standoffs and mount it directly to the chassis, but I'd really love to avoid drilling holes in the bottom of the case if possible - it's thin steel and would be hard to counter-sink, and I don't want screw heads poking out the bottom when I stick it in the rack with my other gear.

-I could go with some kind of industrial-strength double-sided foam mounting tape, which would certainly be easier and cleaner, but I'm concerned about it holding up over the long run.

-I could epoxy the transformers to the chassis, but then I would never be able to (easily) remove/service them.

Any other ideas?

Do yourself a big favor and forget about glue tape and epoxy and read this recent topic on how to countersink your screw holes...

Thanks musika. That looks like a good solution for mounting a toroidal or other large transformers, but seems excessive for mounting two input transformers (with 4-40 mounting screws). Maybe I'll try CJ's suggestion of JB Weld'ing nuts to the chassis.
