This was a strange request but recently a client of mine picked up an original trident b-range console with zutt transformers and pcb's labeled Triad but with the trident logo. Does anyone know of mods that are done to the eq?  The request comes as my new client says the following, When I insert the eq, there is much low end loss with the eq as flat.  The LF is too much, yery wide bandwidth and the 2 X frequencies are wrong,  The MF frequencies are wrong and the bandwidth of the peak eq is very narrow, lastly the HF Shelf sounds like it starts around 2K when set to 8 and or10 K the two options available.  Anyone have any suggesions on what to do with it. My first though was since the console is mainly pre amp, eq he would be better of selling it because the bulk of it, he is not happy with. However this is not an option so looking at suggestions. I have some Ideas as well for swapping capacitor values and resistor values to change bandwidth and or frequencies but would love to hear some other ideas

Low-end loss with too much LF seems odd.

Have you set it up with sig-gen and ACVM to measure the response? It probably WAS flat when new. If it isn't now, don't "mod", fix what's broke.

Old coupling caps, 10uFd decayed to 0.5uFd will cause "low end loss".

these modules were recapped 4 months ago.  When normalled, flat, no boost or cuts but engaged/inserted the eq has loss of low end.  But when using the LF seems to be quite wide.  I do not see these as issues, and I think the eq is fine, but the owner seems to not like any of it.  I think rather then reinvent the wheel he would be better off selling the desk and getting something he likes from the get go. Sure he likes to rest of the desk but since the eq's are a big part of it, might as well put in something he likes. Vintage is not a reason to just keep a desk if you are not happy with the performance.

I have sweeps done with an AP or similar device. I will post them up.
