Hi everybody ,
have had a chance to get an used Tube Tech CL1  compressor (nice "tool" ...)
and some other stuff too...
from a service that have partially replaced the equipment...

unfortunately tubes/valves need to be replaced ...

please someone here have replaced the original tubes
with some other different type  ?
also checked other type of tubes that can change the sound of the CL1 ?

thanks in advance for any post
s.

Stick with the recommended tubes (Ecc82 & Ecc83).  I've swapped them out on our two CL1A's and the sound difference was minimal (unless you're replacing a bad tube!  :p )

Great compressor to have around, congrats!!

I have one CL1A (the Point to point early version of the CL1B), i tested everything i could, and to be honest, the quality of tubes is really not so important..i had better results with new Electro Harmonix than with NOS UK Mullards (yes!!)...but it was not so noticeable..
CL1b is a clean compressor, sold with very cheap tubes inside... Every New tube from Electro Harmonix or Mesa boogie would be good.
