How would a point-to-point build be different from the schematic? Or wouldn't it depend on what tube & body you happen to use, anyway?

I guess he is asking for a U47 p2p layout.

Edit: ask Milan from Vamisound (here known as @Vac11 ), he got a U47 P2P layout. I got a copy of it, but I am not sure if it is free to upload.

Turretboard then maybe?

"P2P" i understand more as "just components soldered together", hence the name, "point to point" 🤷‍♂️

I'd also recommend VAMI pcbs. I built up a pair of M49 last winter with Moby's transformers. Just waiting on capsules.
I am hoping VAMI does a U67 with the original layout at some point.
The U47 is not an original PTP layout, obviously, but beautiful none the less

Thanks guys for response.....

I was meant point to point just components soldered together like you said Khron!

P2P (point to point) or layout - it is usually said that way, if not please correct me guys!

Yes turretboard can be used or like DMP show.

But with original tube VF14 or EF14, EF12 tube....

Couldn’t be happier with my vami m49 too…here it is

Yes, iprovlek, you'd have to adapt that layout back to the original circuit with the vf14.
This might help you also: https://medias.audiofanzine.com/files/u47-ami-472301.pdf
You only need the two small boards for components down by the transformer and the acrylic board at the top for high impedance connections.
This was my PTP U47 using a ef800 and turrets. I did the layout on paper before I started. The layout is by far not the hardest part of a PTP build!

Purplenoise,
You decided not to isolate the capsule connections from the F4 PCB?
I'm not sure it matters to be honest but did the teflon turrets.
I also omitted the 3dB switch
What capsule? Neumann?

Sorry for wandering off topic iprovlek

That is what I searching for dmp, I found it on Oliver site to, and looks great to....I see a little Beyer transformer in it Am I right dmp?

I was planing use small boards like that, for components, which I can etch...

What you did is probably wiser but it seems the acrylic board is pretty non conductive…didn’t have any issues.
I made mine cardioid only since I rarely use any other patterns…plus the original sounds better when in cardioid only mode with the internal switch.
Yes the capsule is a Neumann k47fet…I try to get them second hand from eBay when I see a good one.

Yup, Beyer 10:1 peanut transformer. Not close to the real thing - but it turned out to be the best mic I've built
Body is made from brass railing stock

Planing Thiersch capsule dmp, I did G7 recently with red line Thiersch M7 and I was astonish how it is sound!

RK12 from microphone parts was in that G7 and didn't believe how microphone can be improved!

Interesting - mine is setup for remote pattern switching. Is it just a 3dB noise floor rduction or does it sound better in other ways?
I really regret not buying a Neumann capsule when they sold them new through Sennheiser here in the USA
I've never risked buying a used one on ebay.
