Ah. He did a lot of work across the spectrum, if I'm not mistaken.

Easy: like any resistor. DC is just low frequency... very low. The DC gets turned down along with the signal in the same way as higher frequencies. If you have sudden attack times, there might be a 'thump' as the DC is modulated, but that's all... it becomes an upper sideband of sorts.
