Hi to all.
Here's the pics of 8 good eq's for good mix.
Design is more or less Sontec,
added nice high shelf (6/12 db/oct), BB/AD opamps, dc servo added to input stage as well.

 :thumb: Daaaaamn Igor!! You're quite the industrious individual!!
Really great work!!!

M.

PS. Are you going to make PCB's, instructions, etc. available?
I'd love to have something like that to add to my 8 channel Neve's:

Then I'd just need one of NYD's summing bus thingies and I'd have.......... a console :green:

I am not in today's industry philosophy:))

I very liked your 1290's box... btw, have same thing of my design
called Albatross, will put pics there...
At this moment, I have only 2 pcb's left, pm me.
If there's people interested in schemo, can put it there as well.

Great job

I would appreciate to get the schematics, and maybe the pcb files ?

I'm dreaming about some Eq like these on my busses before summing !

Even if I got rich I prefer by far to build and customise my own gears, as I appreciate less and less industry way of doing thing, marketing wise an technically wise.

Your stuffs look amazing and top class !

Cheers.

Very nice, as always. Schematic would be very welcome...and
your 2254/33609 calibrating manual, hehe

really cool.. wanna do this project to!
....can you post the pcb files please=?
If there will be some interested people, can help with pcb's.
I don't want to post gerbers by some reasons.

Absolutely agree with you regarding industrial stuff ;))))
This is kinda flexible and good sounding eq, without any harshness,
got a lot of "wow" and "drool!" soundwise from my friends and customers.
Then, schem and comp. placement:

The schem is a bit messy, drawn fast way, but possible to understand.
I like to use Sontec bells and Massaboog's shelf on lows,
pretty good combination.
Massaboog's values shown on schem and pcb, Sontec values will
put soon.
what´s going to be next? A Fluxcompensator?

Wait! Patience! ;))))

Hello Frank, happy to see you there!!!!
This is CO2, to get this shit working you need laser (ebay),
power supply(same) and mirrors (headache to allign) or articulated arm from laser surgery (headache to find). Germanium coated lens to focuss
the beam into ~0.1-0.2 mm. 60w laser is good evough.
YAG is pulse thing, not very usefull there.
You building your laser engraver?

I bought a cnc machine some time ago and thought (for a second or so) about adding a laser to it. But 60W... ahem... Thats pretty much.. at least for a fraidy-cat like me. :green: Do you have one of those china laser or is it from a surgery, too? 0,2mm engraving depth? Thats enough for colour fillings! Cool! But the adjusting process until you got a working laser without becoming blind is probably too difficult (for me). Do you have to readjust the lense when using different aluminium panels with different material thickness? The other thing is... its probably hard to set the same zero point when changing from milling to laser engraving. Do you drill the holes for the switches (the switch at the HF section for example) with a drilling machine? I looks like it was milled?

Kind regards,
Frank.

top stuff Igor!

where do you buy centertapped alphas? alphastat here in germany doesn´t have them.

steff

 impressive stuff. :thumb:

Why is CIn (the red beast) needed with DC-servo present for the input stage ? Just curious.

Hi Frank, around 2001, Sharplan closed one of Israeli branches and
a lot of laser surgery stuff came direct to surplus place 10 km from my house..
think china laser from ebay will work OK...0.2 mm is beam diameter,
it cleanes anodise, not engraving into depth, iirc it called sign marking..
anyway, looks pretty good.
The focuss of laser have to be re-adjusted for different pannels, and
of course when you working with laser use protection glasses.
I use same machine for milling, and it has holes for pannels,
which are standard for 1/2/3/6 etc RU.
To zero machine, use home sensors,
it looks in g-code:
g28
g92 x0 y0
g00 x-500 y50
g92 x0 y0(laser)
(there's magic in this name -G-code!! ;))))
I think to build another machine for laser engraving only, and
use "moving mirrors". To get this thing working, you don't need to
adjust all the stuff with co2 laser, just put small red laser at the
same axe for start, adjust mirrors to get the beam correct
on all of machine positions, then after installing c02,
some little corrections needed.

Why is CIn (the red beast) needed with DC-servo present for the input stage ?
Ask George ;)))) Anyway, it works just fine, see schemo.

???? I have a stock from year go...ask Peter Gross they should to have them. As well, they helped me once with pot which was unavailable from any other place...for me, it is a bit hard to communicate with them, but the service is excellent and potentiometers are very good quality.
