I have here an original SCAMP rack by Audio & Design (Recording). In case you don’t already know what it is, Scamp was a custom modular audio format produced by ADR during the 70s and 80s. Sort of like a DBX 900 except more ‘top of the line’.

The enclosure in question is designed to fit into a 5RU rack space and will fit up to 17 Scamp format modules. The Scamp format has become a cult classic for a reason: the modules that fit into it sound good - like, really really good.

ADR is a company most well-known for their F760 (‘Compex’) line of compressors. Or, you might know it as the compressor behind the *ridiculously famous* John Bonham drum sound of Led Zeppelin fame. The Scamp S01 compressor module is ‘technically superior’ to the Compex (in ADR’s own words) and takes up just one space in a Scamp enclosure. In other words, you could fit 17 channels of fully powered F760-style compression into this if you wanted to. Granted, there are a whole host of other interesting modules you might put in there, too!

Comes with the original power supply (see pictures). It provides both 30v and 48v (phantom power) to the enclosure and has a handy switch for changing between 110v and 240v

I haven’t tested it but I my assumption is that it will probably need a re-cap.

Came with a few other modules that I bought a while ago but I have no need for it, hence the sale.

Asking price: $395 US (or 600 AUD).

Shipping within Australia: flat-rate, 50 AUD. International shipping (outside Australia): flat-rate, 60 USD.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or would like to make an offer!
