Hi all…

I have Vox Cambridge 30 Twin reverb on the table for repair and it seems to be the Opto coupler that is broken. I guess that a VTL5C3 opto coupler could be a good replacement for the stock one but it is really hard to get from Europe.

My question is if anyone has a replacement or any idea where to find a VTL5C3?

Best regards

Those opto "roaches" are getting super expensive.

Grab some while you can...

Thank you all

It seems to be like I suspected... hard to find but I'll try the banzai-site.

Maybe buy a bunch of them since the Vox Cambridge 30 twin reverb seems to to have an issue with their design concerning the opto coupler??

Thanks

/John

Fake photo indeed - a 5C4/2 with only two LDR-pins coming out? Really?

..but I'd love it to be true though, I just had to discontinue two of my own favorite Gyraf products for this reason - the G2 and the G3...

Last line seems like something someone could do something with in a weeks time or so.

Ah, yes it is out of stock :)
Still is available in tme and it's cheaper than farnell but i don't know how much for shipping.

I placed an order for three optos from this site from Poland and the shipped it the same day... just waiting to see what happens.

They seemed to have some 50 or so in stock.

I don't know how they ship worldwide but local it's fast and overall really professional company.

Yes, my three VTL5C3 arrived today at lunch hour… on a and a half day from Poland is NOT bad at all.

I will, for sure, look at their site next time when ordering stuff.
