Hei all,

Question, what does NARTB equalization mean? I have a mid 60's tube amp and it has NARTB equalization. Should I be worried ????? Could this harm my children???? Or worse my ****** vocals!

thank's guys

Ok great,

Thanks guys!

Here's what I gathered for this amp.

There's no input or out put transformers. This will be fixed soon thanks to nice people on the list in Seattle!!!!

Freq range 30-18
input minus 55db high impedence
tube and diode 2-12AX7 1-12AT7 1-12BH7 2- 6DA5 1- 6x4 4- IN34A's
As it stands with out any modifications.

Would it be wise to remove the NARTB and run with out it?

...if it's a phono EQ curve, then you'll sound rather muffled going theough it... the current RIAA curve has a 40dB gain range diferrence between 20Hz and 20kHz...

..in which case for use as a vocal preamp you'd probably have to remove it, or put up with mud 'n' muffle!

Thanks again,

Tha't's what I figured that I have to remove it. So it looks like I will be making a new pcb for this thing.
