Hi everyone!

I am building a classicapi "CAPI 2-Stage Line Amp" for a passive EQ.
I would like tu get carnhill transformers from AML for the output but I can't find out which one I need...

The design calls for 1:2 wiring and I want to be able to handle +24dBu output.
The carnhill website doesn't show max levels like, say, the lundahl website.

Does anyone have a recommendation?
Thanks!
Jules

I'd say the VTB 2281 seems like the one for the job (1:2 line output, ungapped) but I have no idea on what kind of levels it can handle.
Although the Carnhill design guide does say "intended for high level balanced line output" so it should be fine for a preamp output.
It will need to be connected with parallel primaries and series secondaries.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but I also have a similar question for people familiar with the Lang PEQ-2 Output iron;

Will an LO1166 style transformer (such as the Carnhill VTB9049) be suitable for using on the output of a Lang PEQ-2 clone, in lieu of the Freed 38166?
As far as I can tell it needs a gapped 50:600...The same as the LO1166.

Are there any other parameters I should be aware of?

Paging DR. CJ....
