yea thats pretty crazy considering the sowters work and sound just as good if not better than the UTC's

I chuckled at this typo in the description "... and if you?ve ever used one, you?ll soon find it hard to get along with one."

If it's hard to get along with, why do I want one?

That's a bit like the letter of recommendation, where the writer says "I can't tell you how lucky you will be to get this person to work for you."

I was involved directly in the reverse engineering of the reproduction HA100Xs used in the UA reissue. This had to be done because the original engineering folder had been "lost" at the owner of the UTC legacy, Magnetica. We had several protoypes made after carefully deconstructing an early original, measured them and listened to them in the circuit. The ultimate HA-100X production unit was virtually indistinguishable from 2 samples from original LA-2As used in those units.

This guy tells a good story, but you pay well to buy into it!

About two years ago I purchased 3 HA100x transformers for $150 and I thought that was expensive

My opinion on re-issues is that there never the same but very close...... :green:

Or a "near miss" :?:

Nearly miss, near to a miss, a close miss,

aren't they all direct hits? :?
