for an old BASF receiver i´m looking for a pair of those transistors .
on a short diagnosis only one channel is kaputt , so one of each should suffice .

looking for Meters :p
their size is : 121mm (4,76") x 107mm (4,21" ) with a round cutout of 69mm (2,71")
they shall have 100uA , 200uA or 400uA

please offer anything that at least covers the round chassis cutout (69mm)
i don´t care about the scale , gonna have to swap that out anyway

i guess not , thanks , might just do that .
However i´d still be looking for some meters with those measurements :
121mm (4,76") x 107mm (4,21" ) with a round cutout of 69mm (2,71")

I hope this helps in case you can't find the 2SB557 and 2SD427

2SB557 equivalent transistors:

BD246D
2SA981
2SA982
2SB688
2SB696
BDX20
2N6230
KT865A

2SD427 equivalent transistors:

BD550
2N5633
2N5634
2SD551
2SD733
BDY74
2N5758
KT808A
2SD100

I'll measure and report back but I have plenty of these;

thx for equivalents

thx sahib , actualky i would still need those meters , but they needed to be 100/200/ or 400uA

Nash,

Unfortunately the dimensions do not match. They are 110mm x 80mm. The motor diameter is 57.5mm.

I am not sure if you re looking for VU meters. But if not then I have below Sifam that might be of interest.. The dimensions are 120mm x 98mm. The motor diameter is 66mm. It was used in (I think Radford) audio voltmeters. So it may not have the ballistic for a proper vu meter but it would be fine for GR etc. It is likely to be 100uA FS but you can of course calibrate it using a parallel resistor. I have a number of this. All unused (NOS).

thx for the effort sahib .
i should have made myself more clearer initially 3 years ago , and should have edited more carefully ehen revisting the BASF receiver repair .

the meters shall be a replacement for a metrix u61b tube tester .
the chance on getting an original replacement was almost zero , so i started looking into alternatives that might fit .

in the meantime i use the metrix with external DMM‘s to show me the values of the defective meters ( there are external connections for that , quite a versatile tester it is :))

here‘s part of the schematic with the meters ….

I have googled the tester. Great looking meters. Indeed it will be very difficult to find them, if not impossible.

However, there is already R69 in parallel with M4. So, (as Jacob has also suggested) playing with the value of that will calibrate M4. Same can be done for M3. I do not see any problems. The Sifam will work there. The only issue is the cosmetics. May be you should replace them all with Sifams :)
