How did this even end up in their inventory? Also, “34mm?” I doubt that.

Maybe Walmart will become a go-to spot for DIY pro-audio? Haha.
Also interesting, a Shure SM7b for 247,99$!

How does that work in the US, how much tax is added on top?

At thomann Germany the thing costs 389€, which is probably 426$. That's including 19% tax. Is this Walmart offer real?

Well Shure is an American company. Those mics were probably build and or assembled across their South Border. Hence the low price. In the EU - cost of transport - EU import taxes etc etc

With every You tuber/Podcaster wanting one because it is “the best microphone ever” for Podcasts!?? Walmart better be selling some of those and at a good price!

You can buy ANYTHING in a Mart.
I remember going to an X-Mart in Florida, they had racks and racks of guns, rifles of all sorts. Even small pink ones for your little girl.

Land of freedom indeed!

My guess is that those are fake Chinese copies. SM7B's tend to go for $399 new here. Plus, to quote a review from another SM7B listing on Walmart (of which there are many), "Low and behold, the mic was a REPLICA the whole time. I totally disregarded the fact that it was being sold through a 3rd party seller because of the good track record that I have with Walmart.com."

It appears that Walmart has become the US Alibaba.

I think you are right, this seems to be a china fake. Next to Neumann, Shure is the company that is most often stolen by Chinese copycats. I just saw this offer on ebay! that seems to have the same source. There are no originals for that price.

That seems to be the case, these are the same things that are on offer at Alieexpress. They also seem to be third-party sellers, similar to Amazon, but without monitoring for product piracy.

Ah ha! Your guess is probably right!
Chinese Replica (read Fake).

Edit: 100% Counterfeit, this is the seller's info and everything else they sell are face massage rollers or game controllers.

Basically yeah. To compete with companies like Amazon they now allow third party sellers on their site. Great if you want something like clothing or other generic products you'd buy online from AliExpress, Temu, etc, but it's absolutely awful for stuff like electronics where you need a warranty and actually want a legit product.

Yes, Wallmart recently announced that their online sales (wallmart.com) will now include third-party sellers. Amazon did this a few years back, which is when my guaranteed two-day shipping (as a Prime member) started stretching out, sometimes to more than two weeks.
