It seems like I haven't mentioned the persuasion technique of fast thinking/slow thinking lately...

I am surely repeating myself.

The objective fact that climate is changing is the "fast thinking" hook for the "fast thinking/slow thinking" logic trap. If the hook (that the globe is warming) is accepted as truth, then many don't bother to question the if-then premise that says we must reduce/eliminate all use of cost effective fossil fuels.

Most people would not embrace the draconian policies that get slipped in without a shred of critical thinking. The scaled down bbb bill renamed "inflation reduction" to reflect the actual voter concerns, contains hundreds of $B in climate spending that voters weren't asking for.

For example CA is considering outlawing sales of gas powered cars by 2035... I'll give them an O for optimistic.

Deaths from climate change activists would be a better thread title.

Greg Reese explores why all of South Quebec has simultaneously erupted in flames.

The environmental movement is a religious cult being used by the globalists to take your money and property. "You will own nothing and be happy" and, to make sure of that, we'll burn you out.

Ok ok, I see.

InfoWars and deaths by climate change... Ok ok...

I just came back from Eastern Europe/Caucasus not long ago.
They were getting ready for a War of Wars (so to speak). And deaths by gun shells/missiles and ak47 bullets.

I’m now safe back in France. Getting ready for another summer of wildfires, destroying everything. A bit like what they have in Canada right now. Unavoidable for us over here.

It put things back into perspective, believe me.

Peace to you all, my dear fellow DIY’rs.

Theres real worry here in Ireland over the farming situation ,
You cant pull the plug on a way of life and expect people just to twiddle their thumbs ,
Bigger players in the game can afford to invest in the carbon capture and methane production,
its the small family farms that will be wiped out .
In the western part of the country a lot of the land isnt much suited to arable farming ,

Around 75% of the population is in the cities , 50-60 years ago the situation was very different, small mixed farms were hard work but at least it was a means to live , many hands made lighter work , so families were big and everyone took their turn to shovel the shite .
Turf(peat) was the traditional home heating fuel in the wilder places , its not that clean neither is it renewable but the eco friendly city centric politicians want that done away with now too . Many rural public representatives aligned with the main political parties have decided not to run in the next election here because they feel they cant properly represent their electorates interests anymore .

Yesterday my brother texted me asking if I was OK because I sounded so upset.... I was upset by the politicians and newspeople blaming the Canadian wild fires on "Climate change"
===
Ironically yesterday was clean air day in Canada. 🤔 Canada has been lax about forest management especially of their public lands.

Thoughtful observers of the climate and earth note that forest fires are largely man made, and/or due to poor forest management. Of course the liberal/progressive politicians are not going to let this "crisis" opportunity go to waste without pounding the climate drums.

I agree John… Much the same as usual though, so why more upset than usual? The other side is “wok” gay, trans, and drag agendas right now… You know, for the sake of the kids! Why not so upset with that “crisis” opportunity?

Because the misguided zero carbon policy is bad for all humans, and will harm poor people disproportionately (including kids).

Please lighten up on the inflammatory interlocution.

I truly was not trying to be inflammatory, it really was an honest curiosity of why that one when you’re talking about being upset specifically from “crisis” opportunity.

Here’s the item that gets my blood boiling. Kill 200k animals in the name of Methane. The slaughter should start with the heads of the EU and “The John Kerry Experiene” in the US in the next cycle of elections. Their doing this to protect the food supply from climate crisis religion leaders. Like in the last 100 years there’s been no answers to problems of the world through Ingenuity. These boob head leaders make no sense to me. Plant some vegetables gardens and shut up.

Except your garden needs fertilizer...chicken and cow dung being two common natural types and petroleum-based the other. Morons in charge.

"Unagi: Some people have it, some people don't."

Arson in Canada has become "the next big thing.®"

Amid hundreds of wildfires in recent months, Royal Canadian Mounted Police have arrested arsonists in Nova Scotia, Yukon, British Columbia, and Alberta. One Alberta resident, John Cook, was charged with 10 counts of arson after setting a string of wildfires in and around Cold Lake, a hamlet near Edmonton, local reports say. In addition to damaging vehicles and structures, Cook was charged with setting a fire at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Cherry Grove.

Might want to let InfoWars know too!

I have no idea how legit (not crazy) any of these sources are. Got anything most everyone would know?

Regardless, my criticism was of InfoWars and the peddling of it as a legitimate source. I will never give any moment of serious thought to it. If someone can’t see why, we’ll never find common-ground on the subject.

It certainly is possible specific fires in Canada were started by arsonists, just like anywhere else; be them political-extremists from either side, just plain mentally crazed, or any other type of arsonist.

However, to sit here and say it’s the main cause of the fire problems in Canada is just being disingenuous without at least a couple commonly-known journalistic-sources that may lean one way or the other and not known extremist themselves.

You lost me, because InfoWars is EXACTLY what we’re talking about! I didn’t bring them up! I was responding about that source being given to us.
None of the sources that he quoted in that last post are from InfoWars, so your argument is irrelevant.

Neither is this:

Here’s other ideas of what these fires in Canada might be from. Should we consider these too?:
