Has anyone done a la2a p2p lately?
It used be real popular here
I've been wiring everything up on turrets lately
and I'm looking for a winter project

A few examples from the past:

Very Kool!
Where can I source a t4b and an enclosure in the states
I do have a color layout somewhere
Anyone sell a kit?

I'm slowly starting to collect parts to do an LA2A P2P.

Greg at DripElectonics makes T4B's!  That's where I plan to get mine shortly.  His email is in his profile:

Hammond makes a cool case.  Not accurate but still good:

Not sure if you seen this cool site:
http://www.recproaudio.com/diy_pro_audio/teletronix_la2a.htm

Thanks,

Mike

I'd like to start gathering parts too
where can I find a bill of materials?
recproaudio has a .xls for the parts list and I can't seem to open it.

I can open it, but I have to save it to my hard drive first.

If I try to open it direct from the site it craps out.

Let me know if you still can't open it after saving it to your HD.  I can save it to pdf and email it to you.

Just shoot me an email.

Just Beautiful Greg.

what case is that one?

I would like to buy one similar. It's small, and I love the way you can easlly unmount the front pannel.

Hey Greg
Do you still have the installation instuctions and
manuals/drawings
I can use all the help I can get
I have a pendulum ocl-2 that I love
but I've lusted after the La2a for a long time

That case is from a Bloo kit which were offered quite sometime ago by an old forum member.
I built one a few years ago too.  Love it.  The case is custom and much like an original LA2a's  save for the fact that it's blue...
The only way you'll get your hands on one of those now is if someone has Bloo kit they're willing to part with which has been known to happen around here.... but not often.
;)

I've seen in another thread, someone using an Hammond box.
It was quite similar to that one, and the front panel could be unscrewed easily also.

although I don't the model, or part number

Was it the Hammond 525DGY2?

Probably it is,
will try to find the thread.

Anyway the other threads I've seen are the first and second links in this one.

Ya I'm pretty sure the case in the first link is the Hammond 525DGY2 (about $45).

The second link is another sexy Keith build.  Looks like he may have got that case special from some where.

Edit:
*Cancel SSLTECH help light*

I see now Keith talks about the case at the top of page 2.
