APP14GE is a germanium DOA I have developed starting from my MA1 pre.

The germanium transistor is placed in the best point to make sound.  As my MA1 preamp, APP14GE, has an warm vintage germanium sound. It can use some different germanium transistors inside for having different colors.
I have designed it both for line and preamp stages.

I/O board

--> SOLD OUT!

This high performances board can be used for many circuits to give them a balanced input and output (with makeup stage) when it is needed.

The IO Board is an input-output card, so it has an input section to unbalance signals from gears and a make-up stage to balance  signals from unbalance sources. Moreover, the IO board has an high impendance FET buffer to interface the make-up stage to very high impedance sources if required.

These very high performances input and out stage are both based on solid state technology and they can run with DOA's and/or IC opamps, so the customer can use many DOA's and IC opamps in the market.
Moreover, the out section has a zone for an output trasfomer to place easily it in 1U rack chassis, just using two screws. Can be used several trasformers (cinemag, jensen, classicapi) on it.

IO board can use all APP DOA's and many other DOA's as 2520, JE990 , JLM99....etc....
so you can choise the sound look basing on the DOA's (or IC opamps).

Just to note that it is also possible use the buffer plus the make-up stage as very high performance instrument amplifier with trasformerless or trasformer coupled out.
By the way it is possible use this board as line amplifier too, or both instrument and line amp.

I/O board has a new design for the input stage that does not use any electrolytic cap but only small 1uF polyester caps and a servo DC stage.
Moreover, a servo DC is present in the make-up stage too, to avoid any capacitor on input-output and in the nfb net.

This board was sold in a recent group buy with success so I would like to re-propose it to the market for who want a modern in-out interface.  I have launched a support thread for the IO board  here http://www.groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=46320.0

APP STUDIO ING. PSU2 ,  CONFIGURABLE PSU BOARD KIT

--> available on the new 2014 version

This is an high performances PSU board designed for mic preamps.
I have designed this PSU board for the many requests of API 312 clone channels around here.
For this PSU project I started from the typical DIY preamp configuration of 2 or 4 pre channels inside 1u rack chassis. Moreover, if needed, the PSU can be easy set for dual 24V out for 4x M1 channels.
Since the space is very important when there are both 4 channels in the same 1u rack, I gone for a compact size PCB with narrow and long form.

This project was developed around the famous LM317 and LM337 IC regulators, with a design oriented for low noise and fast response to the load's current.

PSU's out voltages are set by 3 multiturn trimmers, one for each out.
the out voltages range is from +/-14V to -/+28V on main outs

The APP PSU2 has dimensions of 5.28 inch X 2.05 inch (13.4 cm X 5.2 cm )
and is made with a professional FR4 two layers PCB.

current specs:
main outs=  +/-800mA (with proper heatsink)
+48 out = 50 mA

PRICES:

one APP studio PSU2 kit:

prices (S&H prices exluded).

22 euros 1 pc,
20 euros from 2 to 3 pcs,
18 euros from 4 to 10 pcs

APP studio PSU2 PCB only:

one pc: 8 euros each plus S&H and paypal fees.
from 2 to 4 pcs= 7 euros plus S&H and paypal fees.
from 5 to 6 pcs= 6 euros plus S&H and paypal fees.
from 7 to 10 pcs= 5 euros plus S&H and paypal fees.
from 11 to 20 pcs= 4 euros plus S&H and paypal fees.

Note: Power Transformer not included.

APP1040 mic/di preamp board.

This is a new design mic/DI preamp board with high performances, to be precise it is not a 312/512 clone or M1 clone but another best.
It can use several trasformers on input and on out and also all my DOA's, and moreover a lot of other DOA's in the market as the 2520 and the JE-990 too.

APP STUDIO ING. METER 2 ,  CONFIGURABLE 10 LED METER

--> available

METER 2 is an high performances meter using 10 LED's (it can be used with 8 led's too) and the LM3915 led driver.
It has power supply voltages that go from +-16V to -+24V, regulated or unregulated.
The 0 dbu LED can be set using a trimmer. Each step is of 3 dB.
Changing some resistors' values it is possible to re-define the LED scale.
The meter in the following pic is set with the scale that goes from -12 dbu to +15 dbu.
Being a new product are availables only the PCB's at the price of 9 euros each plus S&H.
