SSL done

I just finished (well almost) my ssl clone. My first DIY using chef's board!
Well it wasn't hard and it sounds great. Did the unity Gain mod. I'm using two 2180's and a 2150 on the sidechain. All I need now is a box to put it in.
Anyways just wanted to say thanks! Love this place.

Now I got the bug and I've got a ha-100x and a triad hs-50 and found a place that sells trimmer caps. Guess what I'm gonna build!

Beautifull meter you found there... And AB pots?

Well done - now find a nice box for it, so it can start working..

(actually, my very first prototype of the stereocomp was sitting on an experimenter-board next to our desk for nearly six months before I got a chance to redraw it and build a pcb'ed and boxed version. Our engineers simply wouldn't let go of it..)

Just out of interest did you cut the shafts of those pots and rotary switches or is that how you got them at that length?

The shafts on the pots (alpha) and switches (alpha) I bought are 38mm + 30mm and to me this seems to long.

Jakob, The meter came off the comp in the background. It's a Decca, which isn't passing audio :sad: I was using it unracked and I guess it caught a short. Must have blown the transistors. The meter is a sangamo weston. 1ma so just trying it out. The pots are Pec. not AB's.

Tony I think your thinking of the iron in the Decca. I have two of those suckers racked and working, would be nice to have 3 :roll:

BladeSG, I didn't cut them thats the way they came. The lorins I got from digikey and the pec from a local surplus.

I love the knobs on the Decca's anyone out there know where I could find some? They look like daKa ware.
