I take it we are not allowed to mention the original
Group DIY site anymore ... mmmm ?
perhaps it is not quite step by step but a couple of projects like the SSL and the Green ... and the G9 where pretty well explained and with a few pictures.
The Dual Mic Pre was a bit light on because it was only a crappy project from
me and I spent to much of my time on the good stuff from other people and in the old forum answering questions. Now I spend most time answering the email questions. So far tonight, I've spent about an hour and a half doing just that. Seems we have some interest on things opto and LA4.
The 1176 was covered well else where ... see Franks site for a good shake down and trouble shooters guide.

Kent has an LA2 page and CJ's T4B page has so many pictures that words would just get in the way.

OR get the PDF book from Dave Jahnsen ...

If you must have step buy step and in kit form then there is the Hampton Kits from Scott and Tim's N72 etc ....

Perhaps a Royer mod or complete Mic project from Dave.

I know
you may be a long way away but as some of the Melbourne guys know ... the door
here is always open here for any help and tools and other facilities you may need.
AND when the building works here are completed, things will be even bigger and better. Perhaps some of the local boys out your way may offer some of the same sort of help.
Kev loves his DIY and especially loves
your DIY.
... that's enough for tonight ... I'll go away now.
