Hello,

I work in a studio and we have the lomo 19a19 microphone with original power supply. The trouble is, many years ago, the cable to connect the two has been lost! Can anyone recommend anything we can do? Or any place that might sell a replacement?

I hate to say it, but photos will be of no use.  The LOMO connectors are vintage Soviet types that are almost impossible to find.  You can try contacting AEG but even they have trouble keeping them in stock.

You can do the cable yourself. Or find someone  to solder it for you.
The schematic of the microphone is here
http://www.mediafire.com/?aqad48pl23a1s7y , there are some variation, check the pinning on your PSU and microphone
Connectors are IMO 18mm russian military  7pin, can be found on eBay, for example for female

You should find male-cable type also.
The cable  can be any used for tube microphones, for example

or

in length you like.

Be careful.....

19a19 has a SEVEN pin connector. The 19a9 has FOUR pins.

Just to make things more complicated and annoying, the 19a19 comes in at least two versions with different pin spacing.  They look  similar but don't mate.

I am in the process of converting a pair of 19a19s to XLR for a customer - both the mics and PSUs. I will let you all know how it works out.

And I may have a spare 19a9 connector somewhere if you need it.

Cheers
Stewart

Wow really really helpful! Thanks!

I got it wrong though... Its the output of the power supply that we need. From the PSU to XLR. Its a weird 4 pin connection? From that schematic you sent, it looks like the 4th pin is just redundant?
Do you know where I'd be able to get the 4pin connector? I'm not quite sure what to search on ebay to find them...
If that 4th pin really is redundant, in theory it'd be possible to just replace it with an XLR out? That is a bit more involved that just making a cable up though...

You can easily find XLR with 4 pins or more.

Its not a 4 pin XLR though. Its a smaller diameter, and the pins are arranged differently.

Its a roughly a 12/13mm diameter from the edge of the inside of the lip.

Any ideas?
