In looking at the EZ1290 vs 1073 connection between the preamp output pin P and the output amp input Pin L there are quite a few parts missing from the EZ1290 that I am curious about. Specifically the 1073 has between pin P and Pin L with the EQ lifted
  • C11
  • the voltage divider R58 and R72
  • voltage divider R70 and Ext Link e.g fader
The EZ1290 on the other hand Simply connects pin P to Pin L with the option of a 5k pot.

I am building a clone of the 1073 from scratch and am at the point where I'm building my harness and am curious about the effect of omitting R58 and R72. I know from previous discussions that R70 is necessary for the HPF although am still unclear if it is used in the EQ lift path. Some clarity would be appreciated here.

Please see attached jpegs, the first annotated screenshot of the 1073 and second of the EZ1290

Or is it that the voltage divider R58 and R72 attenuate the EQ lifted path so as to have it's output match that out the EQ in path?
