So I see that this topic has been brought up once but nobody really explained if the difference is significant enough.  On the 1176 Rev D's the PCB specifies 2N3707's, but the current BOM from MNATS has the 2N3708's.  Which ones should one use?  What is the deciding factor of one vs the other?  I put 3708's in mine but now ordered the 3707's to replace them, is it worth it?

Thanks,

Rob

hfe is spec'ed different. dont switch them out. It will very likely be a waste of time

+1 ! but if you want to hear a difference, try the 2N5088 (like Purple Audio do) : here's a link for a thread I did when I tried 3708 and 5088 with my rev A. You have lots of samples and there is a significant diffenrence.

Best,
Ben
