Hi all,
I've been picking away at this 312 replica for quite a while, and I can't wait to hear it. I haven't had as much time to concentrate on it as I'd like because there's that unfortunate thing called working...
This is based on the scans in the 312 meta, Sowter input transformers and Tommytones' output transformers. I don't think a high-quality preamp project could get much simpler than this. That's a pair of NOS 2520s that have been lying around my house for years.
This is a pair of 22k reverse-log 24-step attenuators from a Marchand Electronics kit. They'll do custom values and tapers. Nice folks. And, of course, my namesakes.
I'm going to use Peter Purpose's relay and switchboards, and SSLTech's psu design. It's truly a Lab project. Now I just have to write a good song...
