Makes me appreciate this forum and its members even more, what a lovely community to be part of.At first I thought that this was a severe case of Dunning–Kruger, but now it seems more likely that this is just Trolling.
I have to admire the patience and willingness to share expertise from the forum members though in spite of everything..
my voice is as amazing as it is,. no need to cut out the mids! And no, I dont think microphones give u the real voice , there is a certain area that is boosted (around 4khz) in ALL microphones!!!! But not shown!
Yes please can I have some of those. The added frequency that can't be measured!
Ok, what's next? The xlr made from 'special' material by virgin at fullmoon? The stone which purify your acoustic signal? Some quantum physic related blackbox?.. this is hopeless.
No need to eq voice. Ah ok.![]()
That's a very good question. Why does someone who is behaving like this get 17 pages of responses here trying to help, even after rejecting any help from the start? I've seen many other threads started by honest inquisitive people die out after a reply or two. Does anyone still think they are going to fix this guy's problem and teach him something?
Yeah you got it wrong all right - your speakers are tiny plastic computer boxes, Logitech by the look with no bass, no wonder there’s a lump at 2K, also your mic is right in front of your computer monitor so you’re getting cancellation or summing occurring and it looks like the mic cage is touching the outer support ring.I got it wrong with the frequency i think it was around 2khz where u have to lower it about 4.5 db on all microphones. U can do that on all youtube videos too where someone speaks, U will immidiately notice that their voices sound much more as if they arent talking into a microphone but how u imagine the person to really sound like if they were next to u!

so either one of them is more colored

That's a very good question. Of course it's rhetorical.
I recently inquired how to lay out, improve and order PCBs for a small, yet handy, circuit I once designed and even published in a magazine, receiving only one reply
Quit the therapy. It's a scam. With saved money buy a microphone. Or four.(Not that I am upset or take it personally, ... although ... ahem ... I WAS sorta disappointed ... um ... of course, it is no big deal ... my therapist says ... )

Maybe this is just one of the more visited subforums here?![]()
Don't worry James!Nice try, old man. I posted my query in this forum about microphones.
(It's OK - I do not intend to derail the thread; merely reinforce what Mr. @DFischer wrote.)James
Perhaps examine the effect of bone conduction, which transmits directly to your hearing apparatus sonic information that is not transmitted through air.my voice is as amazing as it is,. no need to cut out the mids! And no, I dont think microphones give u the real voice , there is a certain area that is boosted (around 4khz) in ALL microphones!!!! But not shown!
I can hear it, bc i played around with EQ, including the neumanns have this issue. Sry but i dont buy this 'ur voice sounds different than u perceive it'. No definitely not! It's always the same voice. I can hear it especially well when I am in a hall or echoing room like our living room, the louder i speak the louder the echo. And this sound is exactly like my real voice, no change. The bass and everything of my voice is reflected just the way I hear it without the echo when Im in another room. U won't be able to convince me, I;'ve had this conversation before. Keep ur religious belief grounded on 'what u were told' without ever questioning it!
I doubt there is any microphone that shows the real voice. A technology issue.
That frequencyu at 4khz,, itt's some weird sound that makes the sound sound cheap like ur talking through a pipe, when u deboost it on all microphones, u start hearing ur real voice it stops sounding like ur talking into the mic anymore but as if someone next to u is talking
Anmd about the u87, it DOES sounds nasal, i thought that was common knowledge

It was actually @Khron but thanks anyway. I appreciate your appreciationDon't worry James!
The thread is derailed before it even starts!
(Our colleague @pmfalcman was just making a joke. I think this thread, beyond the negative parts, is full of humor, which is often educational and therapeutic. Honestly, I always look forward to his jokes)
Yes, bone conduction is always worth considering; especially if you're a bone head (sorry, couldn't resist).Perhaps examine the effect of bone conduction, which transmits directly to your hearing apparatus sonic information that is not transmitted through air.
(Also, this place is amazing! I cannot think of another haunt, unless it's PRW, that wouldn't have roasted you to a crisp already. Huge amounts of respect are appropriate here for the information and guidance you are being provided for free. If patience is a virtue, GroupDIY is a holy shrine.)
