Yes im saying exactly that! I know its a complete paradox but even though the frequency response is darker, the sibilance seems to pop out so harsh and unbalanced compared to the rest of the frequency spectrum that there is no way to fix it in the mix without it sounding weird, something i havent seen even on other cheaper mics, recently tried a lewitt lct240 on some vocals which has none of those issues even though its dirt cheap.
To reduce the sibilance, try the trick from picture , with a pen of different diameters.
Or you can tilt the microphone (the headbasket towards the singer) 20...40°

Yes exactly, its mostly smd with a few regular wima and electrolytic caps and the smd is covered in a black coating. Heres a pic i found, it looks exactly like this

The electronic circuit is almost impossible to draw by reverse engineering, although it is most likely linear, flat, with low distortion.

Have you tested the microphone in the Omni pattern?
The suspect freq range of sibilance is greatly attenuated.
