advice on selecting DIY guitar pedals

what about a dunlop octavio clone? I made one once, but I had some issue with negative ground conversion and I gave up..  :p
 
lots of great suggestions guys.  thanks!

definitely going to do a bit more listening to try to decide what direction i want to go.  probably end up going for a diy kit of some sort.  i'd rather make music than do gobs of research trying to figure out my own mods and what not.

I have had really good experiences with Madbean pedals. Good build docs and good pcbs.

There has been threads about this in the past - pedal making designs on the net vary from reasonably good to absolutely abominable. Do a bit of research before you dive in.

Have you checked out my OUSB you can find at diystompboxes?  Not a boring clone.

The octave up sick box is not a clone of an octave up.
