Thanks syn , hows your machine getting on did you solve your problems ?.

i got 1 more ? , if you pot a pot between the two 47k you should be able to adjust the plate voltage of each triode is this correct.

so when reading the voltage supply to the triode do you take the reading from the junction of trim pot and 47k or junction of 47k and pin 1 ?

if you take reading from pin 1 and 6 and they are are not balanced , does this mean the triode sections can not  be matched ?.

        i'm no xprt on tubes. best i can do is to point  you to the NewYorkDave mods that work well, even with "wrong" input tubes that i use. i've built this one from what i had at hand (it is really a mess of wires and parts), nothing to write home about, but rather to give me some insight into the way of how the vari mu actually works.
