Hello

I am going to build a passive monitoring controller using a Goldpoint rotary contacter.
My only concern is that I like mixing with VU meters and / or peak meter.

Can I simply route my monitoring controller's input in parallel to an output going to my VU meter driver?
Will that affect the monitoring signal or not? Will the VU driver circuit (JLM for instance) will change the level depending on rotary switch position?

A crappy drawing I made in case I am not clear :

Thanks a lot in advance

That will be fine. The meter circuit is used to buffer the signal so the VU meters do not distort the audio.
Having the meters before the monitors shows you the signal level unchanged by the rotary switch position.

Thanks for your answer, this is indeed what I want.
I was simply affraid that while turning the monitoring level and changing the resistance of it would affect the signal going to the VU's but as you said, it is buffered so...
Anyway!

I have a build I need to start now :)
