85,000 new armed IRS agents
Oh, come now, John. Is this what you believe? Or is this just you misrepresenting the facts so that you can be "funny?"

political commentary couched in humor... is a very effective technique. That said I am serious about the revenue that cartels are generating thanks to the open border. Just a flat tax on the cartels excessive profit could be substantial. Maybe just claw back some of the bribes and kick backs that somebody must be getting for letting them operate so openly.Oh, come now, John. Is this what you believe? msm said:he Internal Revenue Service (IRS) removed the requirement that special-agent applicants carry firearms and "be willing to use deadly force" from a job listing.
not to make light of the situation but the job listing is a common listing of all the alphabet agencies.political commentary couched in humor... is a very effective technique. Treasury confirmed plans to hire 87,000 new IRS agents.
This job listing disappeared almost immediately after the news caught wind of it.
I don't know that they are hiring 87k all "special-agents", but this is the same agency that recently bought something like 5,000,000 rounds of small arms ammunition.
You guys are the mind readers not me, what are they thinking/planning for?

PS; This is more scary than funny...
Henry Juszkiewicz said:"We had a raid," he said, "with federal marshals that were armed, that came in, evacuated our factory, shut down production, sent our employees home and confiscated wood."
Well, that remains to be seen, But my use of the word alphabet agencies refers to any agency that can be an acronym. But the IRS isn't one of the alphabet agencies. Unless you also want to include all of the non-spy, non-law enforcement agencies...education, health and human services, transportation, energy...
I remember the raid, the before and the aftermath. From what I recall reading, the agencies that oversee any action in that department had signed off on any paperwork required, that all was o.k and then boom it wasn't ok.... It definitely was suspicious and looked like retribution for the fact Juszkiewicz donated and supported the opposing party.Anyone recall when Gibson was raided by armed Fish and Wildlife service, over the Lacey act (endangered species of wood from Madagascar?).
I guess they were worried about the luthiers resisting. This raid also had political overtones (Henry was an outspoken conservative), but that was a different administration. Fish and wildlife may need weapons out in the wild, but not in Nashville.

It's obvious the wealthy can afford to hire "knowledgeable" people to "trump up" their tax filings. Apparently, though, some are so stupid as to hire people who are as ignorant as they are about what they can get away with..
Oh, they will be. And not only will they all be armed, they'll all be transgender athletes, and they'll arrive in black helicopters provided by the UN.I don't know that they are hiring 87k all "special-agents"
You forgot to use emoticons to infer that you are kidding (if you are ).Oh, they will be. And not only will they all be armed, they'll all be transgender athletes, and they'll arrive in black helicopters provided by the UN.
And they're only going to audit angry white Republican men.
I mean really, what else could they be up to?
So where is the published policy regarding what factors trigger audits? Shouldn't a fair and open government be able to provide this important information? More importantly, shouldn't they be required to do so? Also where is the data to back up the personnel request that will just about double the size of this agency? Where is the audit and other data that proves cheating is happening on a massive scale that justifies a permanent increase of this magnitude?Oh, they will be. What triggers an audit? It could be as simple as filing taxes but the irs thinking you didn’t pay. Nevermind if it was a mistake on their end they will still come after yousSo where is the published policy regarding what factors trigger audits? the Department of Treasury is pushing back, saying that the funding won't be used to expand audits of households making less than $400,000 per year.
It's several years old, but I don't think much has changed:Oh, they will be. And not only will they all be armed, they'll all be transgender athletes, and they'll arrive in black helicopters provided by the UN.

I meant the specific decision parameters used or the methods employed to determine "you didn't pay" what you should have. I goofed one year and they sent a letter with what I'd missed and required an amended form, additional tax owed (plus penalty/interest), but there was no audit. What triggers an audit? and still the leading opposition candidate to the sitting administration. This increasingly looks like using government force to negate political opposition.I hear and agree with your sentiment, but it’s a whole different thing when it’s Trump because he was at the top of the head of said government.
I've told this story before. I had the IRS threaten me with an audit if I didn't sign a voluntary extension of liability, 872 (Form 872 is a simple form invoice in which the Taxpayer agrees to extend the statute of limitations through the following year (usually), to allow the IRS sufficient time to work the case.). The form is only for one year. I negotiated to get the extension limited to just my tax shelter investment. One year later when it expired and they asked me to sign for another year extension, I told them to screw off, and they did.I meant the specific decision parameters used or the methods employed to determine "you didn't pay" what you should have.
