Any good DIY saturator/exciter projects out there?

Hi, just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for any DIY saturation builds available? One focused on adding harmonics, wideners or enhancers to the signal?

There are a few threads on this that pop up and get some action from time to time, but nothing ever seems to come of it.

Here's a very recent one - the Waveulator - from Wayne Kirkwood that uses a clever VCA sidechain to deliver controllable zero-time-constant limiting for soft clipping:

I've got a board set, but won't get chance to build it for a while.

Wayne also has a number of mid side processers for sale on his website, which could be combined with the Waveulator for stereo widening purposes: KA-Electronics.com.
