cool, I just saw this thread but I'm at work. I'll check it out when I get home! I'm not a big fan of a lot of the nu-metal music but I am a fan of how it's mixed these days.

holy sh*t Matt, that sounds awesome!
I agree the guitars are a little too low compared to everything else and the kick is a little loud. I dig the voice though I would dirty it up just a little bit and add a little bottom end to it. A distressor would do the trick I think.

When mixed this is gonna be a great track. I think if you just tweak the guitars a bit the VOX will find a more natural space. With all thats goin on with the BGVs I would put some effort into finding a vibe so they really work well together. Maybe smash them with an 1176. Maybe kill a little 300 Hz on the kick or bass. Somethings a touch muddy in there. But then again the mix is overall bottom heavy. Fuck an MP3 can you post an AIFF or WAV so we can hear it in its true glory?

I agree with the above post that the backing vocals are competing with the lead. They just need their own space. You might even want to dirty up the lead screams more, so that they stand apart from the sung backups.
