yes, input transformer gave noticeable impact on sound.There was a tiny difference between both but both my friend and i think it comes from the Vintech input transformers, mine was driven direct.
Yes, I have fiew Lo1166, they are sounding different, some of them with big differences.Anyway i am more than happy and the Vintech owner impressed. Both of us had access to original units when we worked in 'big' commercial studios and we agreed the differences ( if not because of biasing) would have been not worst than between two original.
soon I will have 3 types Inputs , Line, Micro and one input based on steel core.As i still don't have mic input

Im doing booth, they are very similar, same size laminations, same size box.My bad Kraftwerk, i was talking about mic input, i had seen your line in thread already! I am interested in a mic input atm.
