Austrian Audio OC16 Capsule (CK12 Style) in Tube Mic

Today i mound a OC16 Capsule in a Tube mic.. sounds very good!

Is the black ring that attaches the capsule to the suspension points part of the capsule, or does it separate? I wonder how/if these could be mounted using more traditional capsule mounts.

Ist der schwarze Ring, mit dem die Kapsel an den Aufhängepunkten befestigt ist, Teil der Kapsel oder trennt er sich? Ich frage mich, wie/ob diese mit traditionelleren Kapselhalterungen montiert werden könnten.

Ja, der schwarze Ring und die 3 inneren Schrauben sind Teil der Kapsel. Ich habe sie gelöst und das Kabel fällt in alle Einzelteile. Seien Sie also vorsichtig. Verwenden Sie die Kapsel immer mit den Gummilippen als Einheit..!!

tbone t3000 was the mic, perfect for 3 point mount..

Thanks a lot. I can't really judge the mic but your voice sounds great, kind of a Bowie-ish quality sometimes.

@commanderberti I’m planning on buying an OC16 to mod. My goal is to fit a cardioid-only C414EB circuit and add a Ü54 transformer type. Would you mind sharing some internal photos of the mic's guts? It’d really help me see if this mod is possible and how the space works out.
