Built this for a friend of mine. Really happy with how this one sounds :)

Though I much dislike cable clutter getting in the way of knobs, you have come up with a great solution for routing those signals :)

Looks great I bet it sounds great as well!

I've wired those TRS jacks to "normal" the outputs to the inputs, so for the most part you could have nothing patched in and the signal will pass from the pre to the compressor to the EQ, but of course you can re-arrange the comp and EQ or bypass something entirely.

Hi Frank,
Very nice box, i like the modular concept.
Maybe i'll start something like that when i'll finish my too many projects.
Where did you get the small knobs on the boost/cut. They look like the bandwidth knobs of the EQP-1A3
I looking for two of these for my second pair of pultec (silver face).
Cheers

Those are the knobs. Unfortunately they only fit 6mm pot shafts, which is are much less common than 1/4" shafts, but if you can deal with that they look good and are pretty cheap.

It's Nick, by the way ;)

Nice job!

I've done several of these type of strips.
Finding the quietest ground scheme can be a challenge!

I used the Mac in a channel strip as well - neotek series 3 with Igor DI-> Mac-> discrete+ traffo output stage

Was very pleasantly surprised by how well the Mac works. I found the schematic a little confusing, tho'
The input and output to the sidechain are connected in a way I didn't understand.
Got it to work fine though and very happy with it.

Love the case design and construction - very flexible and pro results.

Try doing an all tube one! Finishing up a Orange 86+6AS6 section -> 3 band feedback eq -> poorman 660
Wires all over the place! Very busy panel!

Lots of fun.

Nice one! It's always fun working out how you're going to fit it all in, isn't it?!

That looks awesome, how did you do the front panel lettering ?

Hey Frazzman,

I had it lazer marked by a local trophy engraving type place. Really cost effective and durable. You should be able to find a similar type of place near you... They're everywhere.

Pretty impressive results, I know the kind of places you mean, I didn't think they did anything that complex... I'm in Melbourne, any chance you are ? If so where did you take the panel to get that done?

What did it cost?

I've started to look into lazer engraving after giving up lazertran and now getting very frustrated with screenprinting! The solvent based ink costs an arm and a leg

I'm in Sydney and the place I used is called IPPL, but I'm sure a google search of 'laser marking Melbourne' would turn back something.

They can only usually do it to anodised aluminum so the altronics cases are good.

It was about $20.00 or something for that panel.
