wait, the black plastic is the conductive sheaf? I thought you meant the transluscent plastic that is under the black part.It doesn’t look like that in the picture you posted.![]()

Hello,That Mogami cable has has a conductive carbon sheaf on the centre conductor.
Make sure you strip it back so it doesn't touch the terminal of the jack or pcb, or it will load the signal slightly.
