To whatever extent possible, I like to understand the complete function of every part in a circuit I'm building.
In the AKG C12 here, I'm currently interested in capacitors C10 and C11 (both 5000pF)
C10 would seem to, along with R11 (30M) form a low pass filter with the corner frequency of ~1Hz to provide additional filtering for the bias supply.
C11 would seem to, along with R16, provide the same function for the polarization voltage of the capsule's rear diaphragm.
Is noise filtering the sole function of these capacitors, or do they also serve a secondary (or primary!) purpose?
Thanks for any insight!
